This part of France is considered, by many, as the largest vineyard in France. There are many Appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC) in this region including Minervois, Corbieres, Fitou, that are worth exploring. This region is mainly known for producing red wine although it does produce some great white wines. The Minervois area is probably the best wine making AOC of the Languedoc.
